Comedian Review 12 : Andy Samberg (Lonely Island)

I have Lonely Island in brackets because while there are three of them, Andy Samberg is definitely the funniest of the three. They are best known for their SNL Digital Shorts which have had millions of hits on youtube. There most famous hits include I Just Had Sex, I'm On a Boat and Jizzed in My Pants however they have many other funny clips with stars such as Justin Timberlake, Rhianna and their newest song with Michael Bolton called Jack Sparrow. You either love or hate The Lonely Island and Andy. I love them, I think they are awesome! I bought their new CD on itunes entitled Turtleneck and Chain. It is very funny, it also includes some of their funniest videos. Check their website out: http://www.thelonelyisland.com/

Comedian Review 11 : Sarah Silverman

Minorities are funny, because they can make jokes that nobody else can. Sarah Silverman is jewish, therefore she makes jokes about jews. And Catholics. And well everybody! For me, Sarah is probably the funniest woman in the world however she is quite random and is definitely not to everyone's taste. She has her own TV show called The Sarah Silverman Program. She has appeared in shows such as Seinfeld and was in the movie Funny People. If you have time, youtube the song she sang "I'm Fucking Matt Damon" and the follow up video from her ex boyfriend (Jimmy Kimmel) "I'm Fucking Ben Affleck". It is incredibly funny and is a perfect example of her random yet hilarious humor. Check out her twitter, she tweets a lot and it is usually very funny: @SarahKSilverman

Comedian Review 11 : Eddie Griffin

Eddie Griffin is one of the funniest comedians in the world. He is probably best known for playing the lead role in the movie Undercover Brother. He is ranked on Comedy Central's list of 100 Greatest Comedians of All Time. He may put some people off with his curse language but as he tells us in the attached youtube clip, if you want Bill Cosby, get Bill Cosby. In my opinion this guy is easily more funny then Chris Rock and is up there with guys like Dave Chappelle and Eddie Murphy. Check out the youtube clip as well as his website: http://www.eddiegriffin.com/ and on twitter: @EddieGriffinCom

Comedian Review 10 : Josh Thomas

Josh Thomas is surprisingly from Queensland in Australia. I say surprisingly as he has an accent which is more English than Queenslander. Josh is only 24 and is already one of the most well known comedians in Australia. He was the youngest winner of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival's RAW Comedy Award. Australian readers will have seen him on the hit TV show, Talkin' about your Generation. He is a very funny comedian and definitely an up and coming star of stand up comedy and the small screen. Check out Josh's website: http://www.joshthomas.com.au or on twitter which he uses regularly: http://twitter.com/#!/joshthomas87

Comedian Review 9 : Anh Do

My next comedy review is Anh Do. Anh is a Vietnamese Australian who came here when he was a young boy. He is an incredibly funny comedian and has starred in a movie that he wrote called Footy Legends. He has appeared many times on TV shows such as the NRL Footy Show, Fat Pizza and Thank God You're Here. I have seen him live once at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and found him hilarious. He talks a lot about fleeing Vietnam in his show, and also has written a book about it called The Happiest Refugee. Check out his website here: http://www.anhdo.com.au/

Comedian Review 8 : Jeff Green

Jeff Green is a very funny English comedian who now lives in Australia. He has been at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival for many years as has he been to other festivals all around the world. In 1994 he was nominated for the prestigious Perrier Award at the Edinburgh festival, which is one of the biggest comedy festivals in the world. His first book,The A-Z of Living Together went to no 5 in the Sunday Times best sellers list, staying in the top 10 for 5 weeks and selling 125,000 copies. Much of his material is on relationships and marriage. He is quite cynical but very funny! I have been to see him and it was a great show. Comedian Review 7 ; Adam Hills

Adam Hills is one of the funniest, smartest and most underrated comedians in Australia. Australian audiences will know him most from his tv show spick and specks which was on Australia's ABC. Hills had been performing live comedy for over a decade before he made reference to his artificial leg on stage. Hills felt he could too easily have become a novelty act and that he didn't want to be known as the one-legged comedian ...he wanted to prove himself as a comic before talking about it. It is often said about Adam that if he was on commercial tv he would be a lot more popular and well known then he currently is however he seems to be a comedian of integrity and always has stayed with the ABC. He is a wonderfully funny comedian who I have never seen live but will definitely try get to at next years Melbourne International Comedy Festival.  Check him out on twitter: @adamhillscomedy or his website: http://adamhills.com

Comedian Review 6 : Dave Hughes

Australian readers will know exactly who Dave "Hughesy" Hughes is as he is absolutely everywhere these days. Before The Game, 7 PM Project, Nova 100. I am not sure if overseas audiences will be able to understand Hughesy's Australian accent. But if you can, he is very very funny. Hughesy has come a long way from his poor days when he first started comedy. He is now one of the biggest stars on Australian TV, radio and even has DVD's out of his comedy. Even with all the success that he has he still does his comedy shows all round Australia. I have seen him many times at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival where he seems to have new material every time. Hughesy is very grounded and having met him in the past, a top bloke! Hit him up on Twitter: http://twitter.com/#!/DHughesy

Comedian Review 5 : Ricky Gervais

I know I have not included a video of Ricky Gervais' stand up, but this sums up Ricky's humour. He is not scared of making fun of anyone, even himself. He is most known for being the creator and main character of The Office and The Extras. Two of the funniest shows ever on TV. He is one of the funniest and most talented people in the world, an absolute comedic genius. His timing is brilliant, his material is different to any other comedian in the world. Who can do an hour show on science or politics. Ricky Gervais can!   If he ever came to Australia to do a show, I would definitely be going. He doesn't tweet but check him out on http://www.rickygervais.com

Comedian Review 4 : Russell Brand

Typical English comedian who is incredibly funny. Known most for being a sexaholic and being the husband of Katy Perry. However, he has starred in movies such as Get Him to The Greek and Forgetting Sarah Marshall. He has done shows all over the world. I have never been to see a show as I wasn't as aware of him when he was visiting Australia as I am now. As a 100 % straight bloke it is hard to say that you like Russell Brand as most of his fans seem to be young chicks. However, as I said before he is incredibly funny. I hope he is in more movies soon as his comedy is pretty fresh and different to a lot of the hollywood crap. Check out his twitter: http://twitter.com/#!/rustyrockets and also his website: http://www.russellbrand.tv

Comedian Review 3 : Tom Green

My third comedy review is Tom Green. Everybody knows him from his movies (Freddy Got Fingered) and the Tom Green Show. However, he is an extremely funny comedian. Very very random but funny. He is rude and obnoxious but you could not have him any other way. In his shows he does all the funny faces and stuff he is known for. Even does some old school rapping. I saw him at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival last year and he was the best show I saw. He is actually pretty smart which was suprising for his craziness. Have a look at his website: http://tomgreen.com/ where he streams stuff live straight from his home! He is still going on tour so check that out too. He also has a twitter which is: http://twitter.com/#!/tomgreenlive

Comedy Review 2: Daniel Townes

My second comedy review, Daniel Townes is a young up and coming Aussie comedian. He has been at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival for a few years and I had the pleasure of watching his show a couple of years ago and he was really funny. He sometimes does a few minutes before guys like Akhmal however in my opinion Akhmal should be opening for him. He is very aussie, in the same way that Dave Hughes is. He reminds me of a young Hughesy or Will Anderson. I think he will be as big in a few years! You have probably seen him on shows like the NRL Footy Show. If you like him, you can follow him on twitter: http://twitter.com/#!/danieltownes, check out the youtube clip and search for some more clips of him and have a look at his website too: www.danieltownes.com because he could be doing shows near you.

Comedian Review 1 : Aziz Ansari

I have decided to review some comedians (an excuse to go on youtube). My first review is on Aziz Ansari. This review is for anyone that thinks that Russell Peters is the funniest brown guy in the world. Aziz Ansari is hilarious! He has been in shows such as Parks and Recreations, Scrubs, Get him to the Greek, Observe and Report. He is only 28 and definitely an up and comer even though he has been around for awhile. His humour while he can be rude it is definitely not offensive. The advantage that he has got is that he can make fun of being Indian in a similar way to Russell Peters and because he is Indian people feel like its OK to laugh along, while if it was a white guy it would be awkward. I would love for him to come out to Australia (again, he was in Sydney last year) because I would love to see him.  Have a watch of the above clip and search him on youtube.
